ARTEMIS FOWL
This was the review he wrote as a guest blogger:
Artemis Fowl is a great read for any teenager considering being a super smart billionaire arch villain, or even any teenager who enjoys reading about super smart billionaire boy geniuses planning mega heists from the fairy folk.
That's right, fairy folk. You see, Artemis is a very bright boy looking to restore the fortune of his family's criminal empire and rescue his father, a man kidnapped by the Russian mafia. Smart young Artemis and Butler, his butler and bodyguard, search the world for legendary fairy gold, certain and sure that a) it can be found and b) it can be stolen!
Holly Short, Julius Root, and Foaly are two fairies and a centaur who stand between Artemis and the fairy gold. Holly, a captain of the LEPrechaun recon division of the LEP (Lower Elements Police), flies unwittingly into Artemis's trap and sets the game afoot.
Will Holly escape the trap sprung upon her? Will Artemis finally steal the fairy gold? Can Short and Root prevent their treasure from being stolen by a teenage criminal mastermind? Read this exciting book and find out!
This reviewer found himself delighted by Artemis's Fowl's first and consequent adventures. Eoin Colfer has done a wonderful job of pulling in the reader to a world of boy masterminds, heroic fairy folk, and large sized bodyguard butlers. Lovely characters and exciting plots and plot twists afford this book a read by all teenagers seeking adventure.
